While COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths continue to decline in Ohio and nationally, the pandemic is not over and we are likely to experience new variants in the future. It is important that we take this time to encourage all eligible Ohioans in all age groups who haven’t already gotten a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot to get one – especially Ohioans age 50+ who are at greatest risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and death.
You can provide invaluable assistance in increasing COVID-19 vaccinations and saving lives. People are more likely to get a booster shot if someone they personally know and trust encourages them to do so, answers any questions they may have, and tells them where to get a shot.
The Ohio Department of Health has released a COVID-19 Vaccine Boosters Toolkit for physicians and other health care providers to utilize when promoting the importance of COVID-19 booster doses to their patients and communities. The toolkit includes information about the booster shots, including frequently asked questions; infographics; and printable flyers. It also includes sample text and graphics for use when contacting patients via a newsletter or email, and on social media.
Check out the toolkit today and then encourage your patients to get their COVID-19 booster!
