The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) is excited to announce its newest Partner in Health, the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)!
The ABFM’s 5-Year Continuous Certification Cycle is gaining strong momentum and delivering greater flexibility, choice, and support.
Key Clarifications About the 5-Year Cycle
- Currently, certified Diplomates do not take the traditional one-day exam to start the 5-Year Cycle.
- Ten (10) certification activity points and 30 continuing medical education credits are awarded at the completion of the 300-question assessment.
- The longitudinal assessment consists of 25 quarterly exam questions over three to four years, for a total of 300 questions, the same as the one-day exam.
