The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians has endorsed the nomination of Kelly Thibert, DO, to serve as resident representative to the American Academy of Family Physicians Tobacco Prevention and Control Committee. Dr. Thibert is resident at Grant Family Medicine Residency in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Thibert currently serves as an alternate resident trustee on the OAFP Foundation Board of Trustees and also served as a delegate to the 2017 OAFP Members Assembly.
In the letter of chapter support, OAFP President Don Mack, MD stated, “The OAFP has no doubt that Dr. Thibert will take what she learns from this experience to create connections and change, and bring her peers together on the important issue of tobacco and nicotine prevention and control. She would be a great asset to the Tobacco Prevention and Control Committee.”
