This week is National Primary Care Week (NPCW)!
The goal of NPCW is to engage physicians-in-training, students across the health care spectrum, and the general public on the indispensable role of primary care in our health care system through special programming and communications.
This year represents the 21st anniversary of NPCW, and the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is virtually celebrating medicine’s most dynamic field.
- Physicians in the Community
- Preventative Medicine
- Environmental Health
- Women’s Health.
Be sure to follow the AMSA Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages to answer daily questions throughout the week and engage in conversation using the hashtag #NPCW or #NPCW2020.
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) works closely to the AMSA to make NPCW a successful promotional initiative for primary care across the country. Follow along on the AAFP’s Instagram as five family physicians take over the account to give you a behind-the scenes looks at the family medicine specialty.
Register to join Mansi Shah, MD, a fellow at the Robert Graham Center in Washington, DC, on Thursday, October 8, at 7 p.m. for a presentation on critical race theory and its application for medical students and clinical medicine.
More information can be found on the AMSA website.
