Flu season is here, and recent evidence shows that cases have already started to increase in some states. So, it’s even more important that people get a flu shot now. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) designated Sunday-Saturday, December 5-11, as National Influenza Vaccination Week to remind patients to protect themselves and their families from severe illness.
Downloadable resources, sample messages for patients, and additional information is available and be accessed through the CDC’s Digital Toolkit. The American Academy of Family Physicians also has dedicated vaccines and influenza web pages with additional information and resources.
