The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students (National Conference) will take place Thursday-Saturday, July 30–August 1, in Kansas City, MO. The AAFP is still planning to host the conference at this time, but is offering an updated cancellation policy allowing attendees to cancel their registration for a full refund for any reason up to the day before the meeting.
The AAFP Foundation is offering 250 Family Medicine Leads Scholarships (FML Scholarships) to assist students and residents in attending National Conference. This financial assistance, valued at $600 per scholarship, helps offset expenses such as registration, travel, lodging, and meals. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 29. Past attendees consistently rate this event as an invaluable opportunity because of the practical sessions, networking, and chance to learn more about family medicine.
Information regarding scholarship eligibility and application requirements can be found on the AAFP website. If you have specific questions about National Conference or the FML Scholarships, please contact Rachel Larsen or call 800.274.2237, ext. 6369.
**The OAFP Foundation will offer up to 10 medical student scholarships (from non-selected AAFP Foundation FML Scholarship applicants) to attend National Conference. These students will also receive $600 to help offset the registration, travel, lodging, and meal expenses of attending the meeting. To be eligible for this scholarship opportunity from the OAFP Foundation, students MUST apply for the AAFP Foundation scholarship.
