Cardiopulmonary risk is defined as the risk of serious respiratory and/or cardiovascular events in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). These include, but are not limited to, COPD exacerbations, myocardial infarction, stroke, heart failure decompensation, arrhythmia, and death due to any of these events.
AstraZeneca, a proud Partner in Health of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, is pleased to share its Cardiopulmonary Risk Infographic which illustrates the importance of managing COPD effectively to mitigate cardiopulmonary event risks.
