The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) are joining together to offer a free, one-hour webinar on Tuesday, October 4, at 7:30 p.m. to OAFP members discussing the recent changes made to the ABFM family medicine certification process.
Based on feedback from ABFM Diplomates, the ABFM has revamped the certification process formerly known as Maintenance of Certification for Family Physicians. Most of the changes were made in an effort to streamline processes and to simplify and clarify terms. While there are some significant changes – such as the renaming and separation of the self-assessment modules into two parts and the ABFM certification payment process – the content remains largely the same.
Join us to hear Joseph Tollison, MD, senior advisor to the president of the ABFM, deliver an overview of the certification changes and what you need to know as a board certified family physician!
Registration is free and open to the first 100 OAFP members who register. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Director of Performance Improvement Erin Jech with a live link to the webinar (you will need to access this link on Tuesday, October 4, to participate). Attendees will also have a chance to ask Dr. Tollison questions at the conclusion of the presentation.
