Join us for the next Wellness Wednesdays session, Lifestyle Medicine: Healthy Habits to Improve Your Well-Being, on Wednesday, June 19, from 12:15 – 1 p.m. EST.
Welcome to mid-year 2019! Can you believe we’re halfway through this year already? Now’s the time to take a few moments and check-in with yourself. How is your nutrition? How about physical exercise and mental wellness? Have you stayed true to those New Year’s resolutions? We know life throws us curveballs and it’s easy to get bogged down by the repetitive nuances of the day-to-day grind, so we’re providing just the session you need to get back on track and finish your summer and 2019 strong!
Join us to learn about lifestyle medicine and how to create healthy habits to improve your well-being. Then, take these lessons and implement them into patient care – it’s a win-win!
According to the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, lifestyle medicine is the use of evidence-based lifestyle therapeutic approaches, such as a plant-predominant dietary lifestyle, regular physical activity, adequate sleep, stress management, avoiding use of risky substances, and pursuing other non-drug modalities, to treat, reverse and prevent chronic disease.
- Define the field of lifestyle medicine
- Understand the health benefits of lifestyle medicine
- Appreciate the importance of time and prioritization
- Apply lifestyle medicine to a busy schedule.
