Handmade Wine Stopper Auction Supports Students’ Career Choice in Family Medicine

The OAFP Foundation is pleased to be auctioning off this one-of-a-kind, handmade wood wine stopper donated by Gerry Stover, executive vice president of the Kentucky Academy of Family Physicians and the West Virginia Academy of Family Physicians. The wine stopper is made of spalted West Virginia persimmon tree and has a turquoise inlay.

All proceeds directly benefit Foundation family medicine pipeline programs that seek to identify and cultivate future family physicians to ensure a sufficient family medicine workforce for Ohio.

The auction closes on Wednesday, December 14, at 5 p.m. to allow time for shipping before the holidays – what a great gift idea!

To bid on this wine stopper, visit the online auction and place your bid in the comments section at the bottom of the page. Don’t forget to check back often to increase your bid!

If you have any questions, please contact Director of Events and Foundation Programs Kaitlin McGuffie or call 800.742.7327.
