Handmade Myrtlewood Pen up for Auction

The OAFP Foundation is pleased to auction-off this one-of-a-kind, handmade wood pen donated by Gerry Stover, executive vice president of the Kentucky Academy of Family Physicians and the West Virginia Academy of Family Physicians.

The pen is made of myrtlewood, which is native to Oregon. This particular piece is made from a tree with wormholes in Kentucky. The wood is naturally a light brown and Mr. Stover added brown and red dyes.

All proceeds directly benefit Foundation family medicine pipeline programs that seek to identify and cultivate future family physicians to ensure a sufficient family medicine workforce for Ohio.

To bid on this pen, visit the online auction and place your bid in the comments section at the bottom of the page. Don’t forget to check back often to increase your bid! The auction will close on Friday, March 31, at 5 p.m.

If you have any questions, please contact Coordinator of Events and Foundation Programs Paige Schortgen or call 800.742.7327.
