A tradition of fundraising for Foundation programs through an annual quilt raffle was established by Diane Todd and the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) auxiliary members in 1990.
The Foundation is pleased to highlight this year’s quilt and announce that tickets are officially available to purchase!
Handmade and donated by OAFP Past President Sarah Sams, MD, the quilt’s intricate design and custom colors are sure to fit any Ohio home!
Its Bargello pattern is a true testament to the environment we are all navigating. The curving detail throughout depicts the pivots and turns we’ve all had to make as family physicians living and working through a global pandemic.
While the curves are constant right now, the formation of a traditional piano keys technique border can be seen as a comparison of the strong family medicine foundation that we can lean into during these trying times and know we will get through it together.
Purchase your tickets today for the opportunity to win this year’s quilt. Not only will you have the chance at winning, your purchase is also an investment in the future of your specialty. All proceeds from the quilt raffle will go towards programming that cultivates student career choice in the specialty of family medicine. What are you waiting for!?
Tickets are one for $10, six for $50, or 12 for $100.
