Family Medicine Celebration Features Keynote by Dr. LeRoy

Registration is open for the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) August events!

The Virtual Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 6, at 7 p.m. OAFP members can participate from the location of their choosing, including the comfort of their own home!

During this free Zoom event, members are able to make their voices heard during the Town Hall and contribute to bylaws-mandated business decisions of the Academy including:

Election of officers
Discussion and approval of bylaws amendments
Recommendations that require approval from the membership.

Then, on Saturday, August 15, the OAFP will hold the Family Medicine Celebration at The Grand Event Center in Columbus, OH. Reconnect with colleagues, gain practical insights, and leave inspired! Join us for engaging conversations, the celebration of new leaders, and a dynamic keynote address.

New this year: a dedicated student experience, including a residency fair, designed to connect the next generation with residency programs from across Ohio.

If you’ve already downloaded the OhioAFP app, you can simply register on your phone by opening the app, navigating to the Events section, click on either event, scroll to the bottom to click on Event Details, and then click Register.

Accommodations
The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) has negotiated a group room rate of $179 per room, per night at the Courtyard by Marriott located at 780 Yard St in Columbus, OH, for Friday, August 14. This discounted rate is available for a limited number of rooms (10 total) on a first-come, first-served basis. The group room rate expires when all the rooms are reserved or through Thursday, July 30, whichever comes first.

CME Accreditation
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) has reviewed the 2026 Family Medicine Celebration and deemed it acceptable for up to 3.75 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from August 15, 2026, to August 15, 2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
