Paid Sponsorship by Ohio AAP
Enrollment is open for the Care2 Project, a quality improvement (QI) opportunity to implement interconception care in pediatric well-visits. Care2 provides physicians with guidance and tools to address both child and maternal health for families with infants and young children. Following two phases of the project, new resources have been incorporated to streamline data collection and implementation. Phase 3, launching in September 2025, is an ideal time for physicians with a passion for maternal and child health to join!
- A $3,000 stipend to support data collection and project implementation
- Free sleep sacks and board books to promote safe sleep with your patients – up to $2,000 value
- Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credit upon completion of QI activities
- Support from a dedicated Practice Coach
- Learning collaborative to share challenges and success with peers across Ohio.
The Care2 Project helps maximize time by assessing the health needs of mothers and young children together in pediatric well visits. Many mothers take responsibility for attending their children’s appointments, but do not regularly receive care for their own health. Practices who enroll in Care2 will receive support to address this gap and integrate the most accessible pieces of two generations’ care into existing workflows.
- Smoking cessation
- Maternal depression screening
- Birth spacing discussions
- Multivitamin use
- Safe sleep environments.
Interested practices can now learn more and begin enrolling to engage in Phase 3.
