Renee Markovich, MD, of Akron, OH, has been appointed to the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation Board of Trustees.
A member the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians Board of Directors for nearly two decades, Dr. Markovich has held a multitude of committee and leadership positions including service as chapter president in 2007-08. She is currently Ohio’s delegate to the AAFP Congress of Delegates. In addition to her service with the state academy, Dr. Markovich served a two-year term as chair of the OAFP Foundation and was named, along with her parents, as OAFP Foundation Philanthropists of the Year in 2014.
Clinical Associate Director at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Center for Family Medicine Residency Program, Dr. Markovich completed a four-year term on the AAFP Commission on Continuing Professional Development where she served on the Scientific Assembly Subcommittee.
