The March 5 edition of The Columbus Dispatch featured a story about the Medicine and the Arts Program at The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. The program, which is the brainchild of Ohio Academy of Family Physicians Past President Linda Stone, MD, provides an escape for the university’s medical students, faculty, and staff by collaborating with area arts organizations to bring in performers and by offering opportunities to participate in one or more of seven student performance groups.
Dr. Stone organized the program based in part on new research into the rate of burnout among medical professionals.
Congratulations, Dr. Stone!
