American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Senior Vice President of Education Clif Knight, MD, has accepted the position of assistant dean of clinical affairs at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) in Indianapolis. Dr. Knight will start his new role at MU-COM in early November continuing to work with AAFP through the Congress of Delegates and FMX meetings.
Prior to joining the AAFP, Dr. Knight was a key figure in the development of MU-COM from its inception and served on the board of trustees there. From the beginning, MU-COM has been focused on graduating physicians into primary care specialties. Dr. Knight has been a family medicine leader and a strong contributor to the AAFP throughout his career. He served as president of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians and on the AAFP Board of Directors prior to joining the AAFP staff as the senior vice president of education
Dr. Knight and his wife, Shelly, are excited to have the opportunity to return to their hometown and be closer to their grandchildren in Indiana.
