Ohio Academy of Family Physicians member Katherine “Toni” Clark, DO, of Clayton, OH, has been reappointed to the Committee on Prescriptive Governance Committee for a term beginning May 1, 2018 and ending April 30, 2020.
The committee’s responsibilities are outlined in the Ohio Revised Code as follows: “The committee on prescriptive governance shall develop a recommended exclusionary formulary that specifies the drugs and therapeutic devices that a clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse-midwife, or certified nurse practitioner cannot prescribe or furnish. A recommended exclusionary formulary shall not permit the prescribing or furnishing of any drug or device prohibited by federal or state law. The committee shall submit a recommended exclusionary formulary to the board of nursing at least twice each year for the board’s approval. At the board’s request, the committee shall reconsider a recommended exclusionary formulary it has submitted and resubmit the recommended exclusionary formulary to the board accordingly.”
Congratulations, Dr. Clark! Thank you for your willingness to continue serving the citizens of Ohio in this most important role.
