The Central Ohio Diabetes Association (CODA) provides high quality education and
programming though camps for children with diabetes. These camps are designed to offer not only a great summer camp experience but also lifestyle management education to help kids with diabetes learn to live well with the challenge of diabetes.
Kids Camp
Monday-Wednesday, June 25-27 (ages 3-7)
Encourages campers to explore their potential, try different activities, build friendships, and learn about diabetes. Parents and siblings are encouraged to be involved in the day camp experience.
Stepping Stones
Thursday-Saturday, June 28-30 (ages 8-12)
An introductory camping program for youth with diabetes who want to explore what camping is all about before committing to one week at residential camp. Stepping Stones includes an overnight camp out on Friday.
Camp Hamwi
Sunday-Saturday, July 22-28 (ages 13-17)
Sunday-Saturday, July 29-August 4 (ages 7-12)
A residential camp that started 50 years ago and provides invaluable opportunities for self -discovery and creativity. Through a group living environment in a beautiful rustic setting, campers discover an appreciation for individual differences and the positive feeling of group accomplishments.
