There is still time to register for Course 2 of the Family Medicine Workshop! Join your fellow family physicians Saturday-Sunday, January 31-February 1, 2026, at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel in Westerville, OH, to examine a broad spectrum of topics and concerns of clinical interest and relevance to primary care physicians.
The annual Family Medicine Workshop provides information on diagnostic techniques, advanced technical theory, current research, problem solving methods, and management techniques within the core content areas of family medicine along with plenty of time for case discussion and interaction with the faculty.
The free pre-conference is being offered to during Course 2 is interactive, small-group discussions tackling real-world challenges in atrial fibrillation and venous thromboembolism anticoagulation management (AT/VTE). This non-CME, unbranded, non-promotional session is sponsored by Bristol Myers Squibb/Pfizer and is designed for open, peer-to-peer dialogue featuring practical, case-based discussions led by experienced medical professionals. Seating is limited.
An American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) Family Medicine Certification Knowledge Self-Assessment (KSA) on Care of Children will also be held as an optional add-on session to Course 2. Participants will work with an expert moderator to complete the KSA in a group setting.

Registration and Cancellation Deadlines
Registration for Course 2, the pre-conference, and the KSA must be completed by Monday, January 26.
Cancellations are eligible for a refund, minus any credit card or payment processing fees incurred at the time of registration, if notice of cancellation is sent to Jessica Gmerick by Monday, January 26, for Course 2, the pre-conference, and the KSA.
Accommodations
The OAFP has negotiated a group room rate of $159 per room, per night at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel located at 409 Altair Parkway in Westerville. For accommodations, please reserve your Course 2 room(s) online or call the hotel reservation desk at 614.882.6800 or reserve your room(s). Please tell the reservationist you are with the OAFP in order to receive the discounted rate. The group cut-off deadline for Course 2 was January 9.
CME Accreditation
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) has reviewed the 2026 Family Medicine Workshop and deemed it acceptable for up to 29 Prescribed AAFP credits (up to 11 credits for Course 1 and up to 18 credits for Course 2). Term of approval is from January 17, 2026, to February 1, 2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Physicians that participate and complete the KSA will also receive 10 certification points towards their ABFM certification requirement.
