AstraZeneca, a proud Partner in Health of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, recently released a COPD Checklist: A Tool for Optimizing Patient Care.
This checklist is based on the GOLD 2026 Report and can serve as a resource when considering a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) diagnosis in patients with dyspnea, chronic cough to sputum production, frequent lower respiratory track infections, and/or a history of exposure to risk factors. Additionally, included on the infographic are strategies for initial management and pharmacological treatment, patient education, and quality standards for COPD care.
If you want to put this checklist to work right away in practice, consider using it as a workflow step in a performance improvement project and check out the EasyPI: COPD track for more helpful resources and tools to help in that process.
AstraZeneca’s goal is to provide content highlighting emerging science in respiratory diseases, created by its team of healthcare professionals. For additional resources, please visit AZMedical.com; a website created for healthcare professionals by healthcare professionals.
