
This week (week of June 26, 2017), the United States Senate will consider the Better Care Reconciliation Act – legislation that phases out Medicaid expansion and caps the federal commitment to Medicaid, ultimately starving this vital program of federal funds needed to provide meaningful coverage to vulnerable beneficiaries.
As we enter the home stretch, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians are shifting most advocacy activities to twitter and phone calls. Phone calls on Tuesday, June 26, and Wednesday, June 27, will have the most impact. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) is a key vote.
