The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released an update on the Bicillin® L-A (Penicillin G Benzathine Injectable Suspension) shortage.
The CDC strongly encourages clinicians and STI programs to take several actions outlined in this update, including preserving the use of Benzathine Penicillin G for treating patients who are pregnant.
