The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) will again host Bite-Sized Learning sessions on Sunday evenings this year. Members can join the conversation by logging on to the OAFP’s Facebook page or YouTube channel to watch live.
Moderated by OAFP President Mike Sevilla, MD, the first session, set for Sunday, February 14, at 6 p.m., will feature Alex McDonald, MD, and Mary Krebs, MD, for a discussion on the COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. McDonald is a family medicine and sports medicine certified family physician at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, CA. He is very active on social media and helped to start the #ThisIsOurShot campaign. Dr. Krebs is the medical director of primary care at Cohere Health and will provide insight into her experience receiving the vaccine and what Ohioans can expect.
Drs. Sevilla, McDonald, and Krebs will discuss where things stand with the COVID-19 vaccine and the important role the #ThisIsOurShot campaign has on awareness and overall success vaccination. Listen in to hear how you can be a part of the solution.
#ThisIsOurShot is a grassroots coalition of healthcare workers whose mission is to elevate voices of healthcare heroes to build vaccine-trusts towards a COIVD-free world. They are mobilizing physicians and healthcare workers in a national grassroots campaign as trusted vaccine messengers with fidelity to science and evidence. The goal is to catalyze critical public confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine, especially amongst communities of color, younger individuals, and lower socioeconomic populations.
#ThisIsOurShot has now reached 150 million impressions across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as of January 16, and would love to have your support.
