The next session of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians’ (OAFP) Bite-Sized Learning program is set for Sunday, August 29, at 8 p.m. This week’s session is all about how you can claim American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) credit for work you are currently doing. Members can join the conversation by logging on to the OAFP’s Facebook page or YouTube channel to watch live.
Moderated by OAFP Immediate Past President Mike Sevilla, MD, FAAFP, this session will feature a panel of OAFP members that have each utilized the ABFM’s new COVID-19 Self-Directed Performance Improvement activity option to turn the incredible work they accomplished delivering care during the COVID-19 pandemic into valuable ABFM credit.
To help get these panelists and others started, the OAFP created new tools including a step-by-step video, a list of suggested COVID-19 practice interventions, and other Self-Directed Pathway tools to help ABFM diplomates simply apply for the credit they so richly deserve.
Panelists include Ryan Kauffman, MD, FAAFP; Brian Bachelder, MD, FAAFP; and Anna McMaster, MD, FAAFP. Dr. Kauffman will share more about the tools mentioned above and Drs. Bachelder and McMaster will provide a personal story of how they each used the tools to apply for ABFM credit. The goal of the conversation is to share how easy it is to submit the work you’re doing for credit and for more physicians to take advantage of this terrific opportunity!
