The next session of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians’ (OAFP) Bite-Sized Learning program is set for Sunday, June 12, at 7 p.m. This week’s session is titled, “All Things National Conference.” Members can join the conversation by logging on to the OAFP’s Facebook page, YouTube channel, or Twitter page to watch live.
Moderated by OAFP Past President Mike Sevilla, MD, FAAFP, this session will feature student and resident leaders sharing all of the exciting details about the American Academy of Family Physicians National Conference of Family Medicine Residents & Medical Students (National Conference).
AuBree LaForce, MD, 2021 Student National Conference Chair, and Lizzy McIntosh, MD, 2017 Student National Conference Chair and 2020 Resident National Conference Chair, will join Dr. Sevilla to share their experiences chairing National Conference and provide insight on what to expect, things to take advantage of, what to wear, and so much more!
“National Conference is incredible! It is the most transformational weekend filled with passionate family medicine professionals. The positive energy is contagious and it refuels ones’ love for medicine. For first time attendees, be careful, if you drink the juice, you’ll be hooked for life!” shared Dr. LaForce.
“National Conference is amazing because it really showcases all the different things that family medicine doctors are doing across the country. We really are the specialty that is shaping the future of medical care, and best suited to adapt to our patients’ needs. I’m so excited that it’s finally going to be happening in person again this year!” shared Dr. McIntosh.
Delegates to the 2022 National Conference will also be joining Drs. Sevilla, LaForce, and McIntosh to share why they wanted to become delegates and what they’re looking forward to at their first National Conference.
Join the session live to ask all of your National Conference questions.
The learning sessions will be recorded and available on the OAFP’s Facebook page, YouTube channel, and the OAFP website for future viewing.
