The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) is currently seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to apply for open positions on its Board of Directors. Serving on the Board offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of family medicine in Ohio, advocate for the needs of physicians, and contribute to the advancement of the profession.

Any OAFP member may suggest candidates for as many offices as desired. Please include comments on why your suggested candidate(s) is particularly qualified for the position nominated. The Nominating Committee also encourages members to self-nominate for the Board of Directors and officer positions. In effort to streamline the nomination process and to help balance the board with mindful intention, each nominee is required to complete and submit a Board Application and a two-page CV.
All personal nominations should be emailed to the Nominating Committee Chair Doug Harley, DO, or directly to Executive Vice President Kate Mahler, CAE. The deadline for submitting nominations and Board Applications is Sunday, June 1.
Elections for the OAFP Board of Directors and officers will take place on Thursday, August 7, during the OAFP’s Virtual Membership Meeting.
