The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians completed a virtual American Board of Family Medicine-endorsed Family Medicine Certification knowledge self-assessment (KSA) group study on Mental Health in the Community on October 27.
A big thank you to the Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, and Wisconsin chapters of the American Academy of Family Physicians for partnering with us on this unique program – it was a success!
With 137 physician learners, this cutting-edge program brought the complex issues of mental health directly into the physician’s home or office with guidance from expert speaker, Alan Levy, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist in Columbus, OH.
Family physician and OAFP member Melissa Jefferis, MD, moderated the session allowing attendees to offer input and ask questions when needed.
- 98% of attendees felt that the objectives of the program were met
- 93% said attendance was worth their time
- 98% said the program was well organized and requirements were well detailed
- 91% would participate in another virtual KSA session.
Thank you to all who participated!
Please note: The OAFP will host two virtual KSAs in the fall of 2020. Keep an eye out for future promotions in the Weekly Family Medicine Update!
