On November 6, the American Academy of Family Physicians posted a Speak Out asking members to write their Senators to reauthorize funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), which ran out on September 30.
The House passed its legislation renewing funding for CHIP on November 3. It is now up to the Senate to pass their own version of this legislation.
It is important to continue bipartisan negotiations to identify alternative financing as the legislative process proceeds, so visit the Speak Out page to send a message to your Senators today.
