The 2022 Member Satisfaction Survey is open through Wednesday, May 25. Have your AAFP member ID ready, or sign in using the personalized link sent via email on April 27.
This year’s survey, is just 15 multiple-choice questions and should take only about five minutes to complete. The information you share is vital to the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), which uses survey data to help set the organization’s strategy and determine where to focus its resources. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts about the value of various aspects of AAFP membership, the advocacy work that the Academy conducts with the government and payers, and the issues that matter most to you.
For example, the AAFP’s priorities for 2022 were driven, in part, by feedback you provided in the 2021 survey. Administrative burden remained one of your top concerns and thus continues to be one of the Academy’s top priorities. The Academy recently pressed Health and Human Services to implement comprehensive prior authorization reform, highlighting how that process harms patients and burdens physicians. Last year the AAFP joined the Regulatory Relief Coalition, which seeks to remove regulatory barriers to timely access to care, to amplify the impact of the Academy’s advocacy efforts on this critical issue.
Scope of practice is another issue that stayed among your top concerns in last year’s survey, and it is one of the Academy’s top priorities. The AAFP’s Center for State Policy has responded with a series of background articles that members and chapters can use when advocating on issues concerning the scope of practice of non-physician clinicians.
- 84% of respondents said Academy membership is important
- 82% recommend membership
- 79% were satisfied with membership.
Ensure your AAFP membership maintains and increases that high value in the coming weeks by telling the Academy what matters most to you in the 2022 Member Satisfaction Survey.
