COVID-19 Mitigation Statement

At the OAFP, our members, partners, and employees are our highest priorities. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and are taking precautionary measures to keep our event participants safe.

The OAFP is following guidance from local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding group gatherings, including CDC recommendations to practice hand hygiene, social distancing, and to wear a face covering during indoor events – regardless of vaccination status.

At this time, our upcoming CME Roadshow & KSA will take place as planned, with the following protocols in place:
  • Limiting registration numbers and modifying the room layout to allow participants to maintain six feet distance between themselves and others
  • Encouraging all attendees, exhibitors, and staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before attending
  • Asking attendees to perform a personal health screening prior to travel, and if cancellation is needed, the OAFP will provide a full refund
  • Providing contactless check-in to limit face-to-face interaction
  • Requiring masks or personal face coverings for all participants, OAFP staff, and hotel personnel in all public areas and the conference ballroom
  • Providing hand sanitizer and materials for attendees to disinfect their personal seating area
  • Offering meal options that limit food interaction by attendees
  • Requiring enhanced cleaning and disinfecting practices from the event venue
  • Limiting session times with longer breaks to refresh the event area and reduce exposure risk.

The OAFP will continue to monitor the situation, providing updates on this page, and contacting any registered attendees if the status of the event changes.

The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians will negotiate a group room rate for the 2022 event the Hancock Hotel located at 631 S. Main St. in Findlay. Additional details will be posted once they are available.

CME Accreditation

Application for CME credit will be filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Physicians that participate in the KSA will also receive 10 certification points from the ABFM.
