Administrative burdens in healthcare continue to grow, with physicians spending nearly 40% of their time on documentation rather than patient care. Artificial intelligence (AI) medical assistants are emerging as powerful tools to streamline these tasks, enhancing efficiency while reducing burnout.

This webinar will explore how AI can support family physicians by summarizing medical records, auto-filling forms, and generating clinical notes. Our expert speaker, Faraz Ghoddusi, MD, FAAFP, will also discuss the key considerations for accuracy, security, and ethics, along with real-world examples of AI implementation in healthcare settings.

By the end of this session, attendees will have a practical understanding of how AI medical assistants can improve workflows, mitigate administrative overload, and support better patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives
  1. Define what AI medical assistants are and their role in clinical workflows when seeing and supporting patients.
  2. Recognize the administrative challenges that AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) can address, such as documentation overload and inefficiencies.
  3. Describe key AI capabilities, including medical record summarization, auto-filling forms, and generating clinical notes.
  4. Evaluate the benefits and limitations of AI medical assistants, particularly in terms of accuracy, security, ethical considerations, and potential impact on patient outcomes.
  5. Assess real-world case studies showcasing AI adoption in healthcare and how it can enhance patient care.
  6. Discuss practical considerations for integrating AI medical assistants into clinical practice while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
