Online Registration

On Wednesday, November 6, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians will host a webinar on endometriosis, a chronic condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, causing inflammation and scar tissue in the pelvic area. This condition can significantly affect quality of life, leading to severe pelvic pain during menstrual periods, sexual intercourse, bowel movements, and urination. Endometriosis may also impact fertility and is often linked with symptoms like abdominal bloating, nausea, fatigue, and psychological effects such as depression and anxiety.

Join speaker Sarah Bonza, MD, MPH, FAAFP, DipABLM, NBC-HWC, to discover how to recognize, manage, and support those affected by endometriosis.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
  • Explain the most common causes of pelvic pain
  • Understand the endometriosis disease process
  • Recognize signs and symptoms suggestive of endometriosis
  • Take a detailed patient history that can help when diagnosing endometriosis
  • Engage an appropriate multidisciplinary care team to manage endometriosis.

This program is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP). The NJAFP received an unrestricted educational grant from Pfizer, Inc. and Myovant Sciences to develop the programming.
