New State Medicaid Director Appointed

Ohio Department of Job and Family Service (ODJFS) Director Doug Lumpkin has appointed Tracy Plouck as the new state Medicaid director. Her appointment is effective Sunday, Oct. 11.
 
Ms. Plouck currently is deputy director for budget at Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM). She is no stranger to ODJFS; she held the position of state Medicaid director once before, from November 2005 to February 2007.
 
In previous years, Ms. Plouck has been deputy director for Medicaid at Ohio Department of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities, assistant deputy director for policy and operations within the ODJFS Office of Ohio Health Plans, and senior budget analyst for human services at OBM. In her current position at OBM, she coordinates the development of the administration’s operating and capital budget proposals, establishes and implements procedures for budget monitoring, and supervises the agency’s budget and revenue analysts.
 
Ms. Plouck holds a master’s degree in public administration from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. She lives with her husband and son in Delaware, Ohio.
