The Robert S. Young, M.D., Legislative Conference and Reception, organized by the OAFP Advocacy Commission, is held biennially and designed to provide family physicians with the tools they need to be effective participants in the legislative and regulatory arenas.
This program focuses on legislative and regulatory topics and features a session on effective grassroots advocacy techniques. Traditionally, nearly 60 family physicians, family medicine residents and medical students attend this event.
The Robert S. Young, M.D., Legislative Conference and Reception was held on May 18, 2011, at the Riffe Center in Columbus, Ohio. Details of the 2013 conference have not yet been scheduled.
