The 2012 Members Assembly will be held Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 4-5, at Marriott Columbus Northwest located at 5605 Blazer Parkway, Dublin, Ohio 43017. Each August, members of OAFP meet to determine policies and priorities of OAFP. All members are encouraged to participate in discussion and debate Academy policy.
Highlights will include expert-led patient-centered medical home (PCMH) seminars, an American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) Part II self-assessment module (SAM), an advocacy luncheon and a streamlined business session.
During our formal, yet fun Academy Awards Dinner, we will honor the OAFP Family Physician of the Year, Family Medicine Educator of the Year, a Resident Leader and those members reaching their 50-years-in-medicine milestone. Additionally, new leadership will be installed, we will host an American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Degree of Fellow convocation and the OAFP Foundation Philanthropist of the Year will be honored.
All in all, the Members Assembly schedule has been structured to accommodate the busiest family physician while still allowing time for fun and camaraderie.
