In an effort to provide advocacy training and promote legislative know-how, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians hosts the biennial C. David Paragas Leadership & Advocacy Training Seminar
Program elements have included communication skills training, building media relationships, and leadership enhancing activities.
The seminar is designed to give participants the advocacy and media tools necessary to successfully and effectively advocate for the specialty of family medicine.
The carefully chosen topics, speakers, and presentation methods are designed to build leadership and communication skills, add to understanding of current Ohio healthcare issues, and provide multiple opportunities to interact with community leaders.
